I made
the team…I’ll be marching in the parade…I can do
it all.
All the students at RVCS can make the team, march
in the parade, or be on student council. We’re a small school
that emphasizes the involvement of all students. All students have
the chance to do whatever activities they would like to do.
What is there to do for our students?
We have a prize-winning band. They march in 2 parades,
offer both winter and spring concerts, play in two different music
festivals, and do district-wide presentations at all elementary schools.
Not band? How about one of our banner-winning sports
teams?
Students have the opportunity to participate in cross-country, co-ed
volleyball, boys and girls’ basketball, and a league-wide track
meet in the spring. Do you know that our basketball team has brought
league championship banners home for four out of six years of play?
The spring track meet is open to anyone with all practices happening
during physical education classes.
Maybe something close to home?
Student Council is the most involved group on campus. Everyone can
be a part, either by election or by being a homeroom representative.
This group of students plans the dances, spirit days, penny wars,
and service projects. Service includes yearly food drives, a book
drive for a local school, a coat drive for foster children, and a
reading group that visits a third grade elementary school.
That’s just the start; then there are clubs………………….
Clubs meet at lunch time. We have a writing club, the science club,
math counts, and intraschool sports teams.
Who wouldn’t want to be part of RVCS?
